Our Solatube Daylighting Systems can do so much more than provide natural daylight into all of your interior spaces. When combined with our daylight dimmer controls, you are granted absolute lighting control. While you might imagine that the dimmer would simply be used to keep your interior spaces from being too bright, you can do much more than that. For instance, you can control each individual daylight dimmer on all Solatubes, except one, to create a spotlight-like effect!  

The possibilities are endless in any room that has our Solatube Daylight Systems installed, though this is especially powerful when utilized with our SkyVault series. The SkyVault series is tailor-made for lighting large interior spaces such as warehouses, service bays, nadatoriums, gymnasiums, auditoriums, lobbies, and more. You will essentially have a wide variety of  lighting options available in any room that makes use of our Solatube Daylighting Systems. 

Create a Spotlight 

By activating the SkyVault Dimmer on all Solatubes, save for one, you can actually create a very powerful spotlight-like effect! This spotlight won’t leave whoever is in the spotlight sweating, either. The fact that our products block harmful UV rays and heat-generating infrared wavelengths helps avoid the effects of a standard spotlight. 

Slow Reveal 

After a total fade to black by activating all Solatube Daylight Dimmers, you can gradually open the dimmer controls back up on one or more Solatubes to highlight whatever you desire. 

Wall Washing 

By ensuring that only the lights along a wall are open, you can draw focus to a wall, create a dramatic effect, or highlight a piece of art or something else hanging on the wall for display.
