Adding LED fixtures to solatubes

We know what you’re thinking. Solatube Daylighting Systems allow powerful rays of natural light to illuminate even large interior and windowless spaces—but what happens once the sun sets? 

Our Solatube Daylighting Systems are designed to provide the same level of light intensity for as long as the sun is in the sky, meaning you will see little fluctuation as the day draws to a close. But all days come to an end. So the question remains, how do you provide indoor lighting at night with our Solatube Daylighting Systems? 

Historically, this would be accomplished if your structure also made use of traditional artificial lighting sources, however this can leave your ceiling’s appearance looking a bit cluttered and busy, with a multitude of light fixtures in place (the Solatubes and standard light fixtures). But we offer a more elegant solution.  

One of our latest product innovations is an LED light kit that can be integrated into Solatube models 750DS, 330DS, 300DS, and 290DS. By making use of this our latest integrated LED light kit, you can convert any Solatube fixture into an LED light fixture when needed. This feature can also be retrofitted into existing installations.  Once the sun begins to set and you lose that wonderful, natural daylight, you can easily activate the LED light kits to ensure that even at night, you still have brilliant LED lighting to illuminate your space.
