Commercial Daylighting products

At NTX Building Products, we carry a large variety of commercial daylighting products and systems suited to providing natural, indoor lighting to every inch of a commercial space’s interior. The Solatube Daylighting Systems we carry are not to be confused with mere skylights. A skylight can deliver natural light into a space, but the lighting it delivers is not uniform and is very much dependent on what position in the sky the sun is at that moment and often resulting in high levels of glare.

There are many benefits to using Solatube tubular daylighting products in spaces that have access to windows or doors such as large exterior rooms and service bays.  With traditional glazing techniques like large windows walls, the daylight can only penetrate so far into large spaces.  In fact,  large exterior windows bring in excessive amounts of heat and increase loads on HVAC system while the intense light next to the window fades quickly into the depth of a large room causing significant glare.  As a building design upgrades the windows to improve thermal transfer rates or adds lighting shelves to bounce the light deeper into the room, the cost skyrockets.  Tubular daylighting products from Solatube not only have better thermal performance, but they can be used in combination with windows to balance the lighting levels to reduce glare and improve visibility.  This allows for less glazing and can eliminate the need for architectural enhancements thereby reducing cost on the project.

We also offer LED light kits that can be integrated into each Solatube daylighting fixture that allow you a simple solution to the problem posed by the sun’s setting. These same Solatube fixtures can provide awesome LED lighting at night, minimizing the need for multiple indoor lighting systems. We also carry dimmers that can be incorporated into each fixture, which allow you to precisely control just how illuminated each interior space is.
